CIVIL LAW

Civil Law comprises of set of rules and regulations which helps in resolving disputes which are non-criminal in nature. The law in India is primarily governed by the Code of Civil Procedure, 1908 (CPC) which is a procedural law pertaining to administration of civil proceedings in India.

MOTOR VEHICLE CASE

The Motor Vehicles Act,1988 is a comprehensive legislation with the purpose of enhancing road safety. It also serves the purpose of welfare legislation by providing for compensation in case of loss of life or limb because of accidents by motor vehicles.

LAND ACQUISITION CASE

Land acquisition in India refers to the procedure by which the Union or a state government in India acquires private land for industrialisation, the advancement of infrastructural facilities, or the urbanisation of privately owned land, and offers compensation to the impacted landowners as well as their rehabilitation

CRIMINAL LAW

Indian criminal laws are divided into three major acts i.e. Indian Penal Code, 1860, Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, and Indian Evidence Act, 1872. Indian Penal Code is a Substantive Law that defines rights and duties etc. Code of Criminal Procedure defines the rules with which substantive laws can be enforced.

NEGOTIABLE INSTRUMENTS CASE

According to section 13 of Negotiable Instruments Act, 1881- A 'negotiable instrument' means a promissory note, bill of exchange or cheque payable either to order or to bearer.

LABOUR LAW

The Labour Court is not a court of law. It operates as an industrial relations tribunal, hearing both sides in a case and then issuing a Recommendation (or Determination/Decision/Order, depending on the type of case) setting out its opinion on the dispute and the terms on which it should be settled.
